Caliper Bracket Mounting Bolt Size Selection:

Strange Kits – Previous to September of 2021 used a 3/8-24 thread / Current kits use a 7/16-14 thread.

TBM Kits – Previous to September 2023 used the factory 8mm x 1.25 thread / Current kits use a 3/8-24 thread.

Wilwood kits – Use a 3/8-24 thread. Note: Calipers brackets must be modified to use only 2 of the 3 bolts.  You will need to cut the forward portion of your existing caliper bracket to clear the spindle.

Aerospace kits – Use a 3/8-16 thread. You will need to source some 3/8-24 bolts to replace your existing hardware.

Physically measuring the current bolt size you have is better than guessing.  If you cannnot meaure, you can choose the 8mm size, then drill and tap as you did with your factory spindles.

Additional sets of thread adapters can be purchased – here.

If you are ordering a brake kit from us on the same order, we will verify we send the correct size insert.
