Universal Tie-Rod / Bump Steer Kit for Rack and Pinion (Choose Length)

Description

• Replaces your non-adjustable tie rod ends to maintain the correct steering geometry
• Must drill the stock spindle / steering arm tapered hole out to 1/2″ to accept the hardware in this kit
• Includes Chrome-Moly Rod Ends, Grade 8 Hardware, and 6061 Aluminum Spacers
• To be used with a Standard or Narrowed Pinto Rack and Pinion (1/2-20 Thread)
• Helps to minimize bump steer when adjusted properly (see our Bump Steer Adjustment instructions in our “Forms / Tech” section)

Measure for your “A-Dimension” by:

1. Pointing your wheels forward
2. Center your rack and pinion
3. Point your tie-rods towards the center of your steering arm mounting hole
4. Measure from the end of your rack threads to the center of your steering arm hole

This dimension should be the same for both sides of the vehicle, if not, your rack is not centered.

Compare this dimension to the chart to determine which adjuster length you should choose.

If your dimension is longer than 7″, you should choose the universal weld-up kit.

Weld-up kit includes:

1. Two 12″ pieces of 1″ 4130 tubing
2. Two 1/2-20 Right Hand tube inserts
3. Two 1/2-20 Left hand tube inserts
